What a season changes, and what it never touches
Your date changes three things: which departures are on the schedule, how many places are left on them, and whether the ground is dry or wet.
The rest is fixed in every season — the same private off-road course inland from the Side coast, the same three briefings and practice drive, the same 18 km off-road route inside approximately 4–4.5 hours door to door, and the same round-trip hotel transfer included in the fare.
The fare does not move with the calendar either: €30 per adult on the Buggy Safari, which sells adult seats only; €25 on the Quad Safari with €15 for a child aged 6–10 as a passenger; €30 and €18 on the Family Buggy Safari, which needs at least one child aged 6–10 in the booking.
The schedule follows the season, so read the calendar
In season there are three departures a day: 08:00, 11:00 and 13:00. They are configured per season, and the booking form reads that schedule for your date, so a time you cannot book never appears. One departure on your date is that day's schedule, not a fault.
Each departure has 40 places, counted across every booking for that date. On a busy day one can be full while another still has room, so booking earlier keeps the choice yours.
Your hotel pickup is earlier than the departure you book: it depends on your hotel and the day's route, and we confirm it with your booking.
Dust or mud: what decides the ground on your day
The operator's description of this course names forest tracks and dirt roads, dust, mud, uneven ground, small stream crossings and water-splash stops. All of it is on the list — not all of it on every day.
What decides it is the days right before yours, not the month on your booking. A dry stretch leaves dust, and the dust reaches you from the vehicle in front. Rain beforehand leaves mud, and mud changes how the course drives — which is also why the drive is published as a distance, 18 km, rather than as a time.
Dress for both states and the question stops mattering: old clothes in dark colours, closed shoes, a full change for afterwards. The changing cabins and showers at the base are included.
Heat, and where you actually feel it
How warm your date will be is not on this page; we have no temperature record to quote, and a season is not a forecast in any case. Which of the three departures suits your holiday day is a question of its own, and the month on your booking does not answer it either.
Heat is felt where you stand still. Registration and the three briefings happen on foot at the base; on the course the only breeze is the one the vehicle makes. Drinks are sold at the base, and so are goggles and a bandana, which earn their money on a dusty day.
The start and the end of the season
Towards either end of the season fewer departures may be scheduled, and for your date that shows in exactly one place: the calendar. When the choice narrows to a single time, the date decides the hour for you — worth knowing before you plan the rest of that day around it.
We name no months on purpose. Our records set the departures per season and say nothing about the weather, so a month-by-month table here would be invention.
Who may take part never changes: a driver is 16 or over and shows ID at the base as proof of age, everyone from 11 pays the adult fare whether driving or riding along, and a child aged 6–10 rides as a passenger with an adult on the Quad Safari and the Family Buggy Safari. Children under 6 cannot take part, in any season.
Booking against a forecast
