The last stretch: back at the base, dusty and done
The main safari finishes back at the base with 18 km of off-road driving behind you — forest tracks and dirt roads, uneven ground, small stream crossings and the water-splash stops. What you look like at the end depends on the day: a dry course leaves a layer of dust on everything, a wet one leaves mud. Neither is promised, and both are the point.
You park where the guide shows you, switch off and hand back the helmet. From that moment the vehicle is no longer your concern — what is left is the part of the programme nobody photographs, and the one first-timers ask about most.
Changing cabins and showers — included, right at the base
The base has changing cabins and showers, and using them is part of the fare: nothing to pay, nothing to book. A rinse gets the dust out of your hair and the mud off your legs before you sit in the transfer, and makes the ride back to your hotel far more comfortable.
This is where the spare-clothes tip earns its keep. The clothes you drove in were meant to get dirty — old, dark, closed shoes — so bring a complete change in a small bag: a dry T-shirt, shorts or trousers, underwear, and a second pair of shoes if the first went through the streams.
- A complete change of clothes and a small towel of your own for after the shower
- A bag for the dusty or muddy set
- Some money for the extras at the base: drinks, photos, goggles or a bandana
- Your ID — drivers show it at the base as proof of age
Food, drinks, photos and video — there to buy, not in the price
After a couple of hours of dust and concentration most people are thirsty. Food and drinks are available at the base as an extra: not in the fare, paid on the spot, no prices published here — so bring some money for a drink or a snack.
Driving a buggy and filming at the same time is not a good idea, which is why the base team takes photos and video during the safari. Back at the base you can ask about your group’s pictures and decide whether you want them; they are paid separately, no price is published here, and nobody has to buy them.
Goggles and a bandana, the other two extras, are sold at the base before the driving. What you never pay extra for: the return transfer, the helmet, briefings and practice drive, the guide, changing cabins and showers — and insurance, where applicable under the operating policy.
Paying on the day, and the transfer back to your hotel
Booking on this website costs nothing: no deposit, no card, nothing charged online. The fare is paid on the day of the tour, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure — so the last money question of the day is the fare the booking form showed you, plus whatever you bought at the base.
The transfer that collected you from your hotel is a round trip: hotel → base → hotel, included, with drop-off at your hotel in Side, Kumköy, Evrenseki, Çolaklı, Titreyengöl, Sorgun, Kızılağaç, Gündoğdu or Kızılot. Door to door the programme takes approximately 4–4.5 hours; the off-road driving inside it is an 18 km route, and the rest is the transfer both ways, briefings, practice drive, breaks — and the shower.
